EDQM - EPAA - JRC Workshop Quality Control Vet Vaccines
'Novel in vitro model as alternative to in vivo toxoid vaccines testing: Clostridium septicum vaccine as proof of concept'
The EDQM, in collaboration with the European Partnership for Alternative Approaches to Animal Testing (EPAA) and the Joint Research Centre (EURL ECVAM), is organising a workshop entitled “Novel in vitro model as alternative to in vivo toxoid vaccines testing: Clostridium septicum vaccine as a proof of concept”.
The two-part workshop aims to facilitate the implementation of the new in vitro cell-based assays for in-process quality control, validated through collaborative study BSP130 completed in 2018.
Topics covered include:
- Update on the activities of the different stakeholders in the field of 3Rs
- Overview of the Clostridium septicum vaccine project, its aim and outcomes
- Feedback from the study participants, sharing their practical experience and learnings
- Potential application of the approach to other toxoid vaccines, and
- Plans for the future
The webinar sessions are presented as a series of online presentations. A live Q&A session will follow each presentation.
This workshop is aimed at those working in vaccine manufacture and/or involved in the control and licencing of vaccines for veterinary use.Back
