2018 Women Farmers Innovation Award

COPA Women Farmers Innovation Award Ceremony

October 15 2018 EESC, Rue Belliard 99-101, 1000 Brussels

AnimalhealthEurope is a proud sponsor of COPA's 2018 Innovation Award for women farmers in Europe.

The Brussels-based farmers association initiated this award in 2010 to shine a light on the central role played by women in farming.

The award has made it possible to better acknowledge the many innovative approaches women take to agriculture and diversification throughout the EU. Women farmers represent 42% of the European Union’s agricultural workforce, and 30% of these women are farm managers. This award supports the empowerment of women in rural areas and promotes innovations at a time when farming practices are under the public spotlight.
